I guess my thinking that staring into a candle is harmful could come from my personal bias given i have an uncomfortable amount of sensitivity to light, including rather benign light
I didn't think of that before posting lol
99% of the internet identify as having ADHD so yeah if you ask anywhere someone will have an ADHD
the answers might not be relating to you though, a lot of people misdiagnose themself.
what i think you can do is to try for yourself and see if >you< can do it, not if someone identifying as having adhd has had any issues
I've heard caffeine can help for people who have adhd

I mean I'm AuDHD, and I was just asking out of curiosity. I'm also asking for other ppls experiences just because I find it interesting to hear other people's perspectives.
Im very inattentive (ADHD) and find my mind can wander off, especially with all the other thoughts I tend to have in general, I know I struggle sometimes but again, I was asking for others perspectives
I don't think adhd causes dissociation but it would explain the memory problems
Though i am medicated and the meds work for my focus so the memory problems are a little weird imo
sure @nx 🌩 i'm just hoping you won't brickwall yourself by seeing what others experience

@Kei Wendt - jump
i saw some research linking dissociation and adhd

is the doctor you are seeing the same one that prescribed you medication?

would i be able to develop a tulpa that mimics a recently deceased friend?
i just got here, so I don't really know the limits or standard practices or whatever
i’m really sorry this happened to your friend
I’m not sure if this is a good use of tulpamancy, i’m concerned it could disrupt the healthy grieving process

imo that tulpa will be created out of your impression of your friend only. to be blunt, the only thing your tulpa can ever mimic are your memories you have of that friend, so, you won't be able to develop a tulpa that purely mimics your friend, let alone a deceased one

i'm very sorry to hear this about your friend, though. i wish you comfort
Yeah, and giving a whole ass living being the knowledge that they're based on someone dead can be a lot for them to handle. It's pretty existential imo.

That being said, loss is incredibly painful, and while this may seem to be a good idea now, I believe it will prevent true healing from happening easily.

You can't replace someone, especially not someone who was close to you, like this.
Yo. I read a guide on starting out Tuplamancy (JD's guide) and I might've gotten confused.

There was no specified time between the visual phase and the personality phase. I did them both at the same time. Should I continue as is or should I restart. (I only need to properly flesh out the face and height) Another guide said that there should be a bit of time.
